A jeweller and his younger brother were shot by 3 miscreants in Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh. The robbers fled away with cash amount and jewels worth R 32 lac. As per the information received by Unnao police, resident of Pratham village of Lalganj Surendra owns a jewellery shop near the Tedha Gaon bus stop. Like every day on Friday late night Surendra and his younger brother Narendra were returning home on bike after closing down the shop. Near Osiya-Tedha way, 3 armed persons on a bike tried to stop them midway, Narendra slowed down his bike but the miscreants after following him to some distance fired at him. Narendra’s hand was injured and he fell down with his bike and the robbers then snatched away the cash and jewellery bag from Surendra. The accused hit on Surendra’s head with gun butt when he tried to make noise and finally they fired on his chest. Till the time people gathered at the spot the miscreants had left the place with the belongings.The police admitted the injured brothers in Kanpur and is investigating the case.
