Carpet city of Bhadohi woke up to shocking news of 9 school-going children killed while 10 others receiving serious injuries when a bus on which they were sitting rammed into a passenger train at an unmanned crossing on Monday morning.
The bus driver allegedly had put earphone and failed to hear the noise of the train due to this. Enraged over the accident, the villagers who rushed to the spot put the bus on fire.
According to reports, a school bus carrying children for Tender Heart’s school was going to the school. No sooner than reached at Kaiermau unmanned level crossing, the driver who allegedly had put earphone, tried to drive past the railway track.
However, a speeding passenger train coming from one side rammed into the bus. The accident so powerful that the bus was thrown away at a few metres distance after the train hit the bus. Nine children died on the spot while 10 others reported serious injuries.
The police and district administration officials rushed to the spot and rushed the injured children to nearby hospitals. The enraged locals then put the bus on fire after they alleged that the driver had put earphone and was unable to hear the warning whistle by the train.
