Ambulance carrying human liver from KGMU until Amausi Airport took only 24 minutes to cover 28 kilometre distance. The liver has been flown to New Delhi for transplantation. Earlier, Traffic department had readied itself to provide green corridor to ambulance that was to transport human liver until the Amausi Airport.
Traffic department gave green corridor to the said ambulance between 4pm and 4.30 pm from KGMU to Amausi Airport.
The ambulance carrying liver began it’s journey from KGMU at 4.28pm and reached Amausi Airport at 4.52pm.
As per SSP Lucknow Rajesh Pandey’s directive to SP Traffic Habibul Hasan, an interceptor led the ambulance which was followed by MCR patrol SUV. The ambulance passed from Daliganj, Parivartan Chowk, Hazratganj, Bandariyabagh, Arjunganj, Ahimamau and Shaheed Path before reaching Amausi Airport.
