A 9th standard girl, a resident of Madiyaon area hanged herself to death in her home on Friday morning. According to family members, she was in depression because of some disease.
Station office Madiyaon, Santosh Singh told media persons that girl’s father Baijnath resides with his family at Basavanpurva village. Baijnath had gone to the farm and his wife had gone to glean woods on Friday morning.
Their daughter, Kumari Sundari (15) was alone in the house. When her mother returned home, she saw that Kumari’s body was hanging by the scarf attached from the girder. On hearing the girl’s mother screaming, neighbours rushed to the spot and immediately brought the girl down, but in vain. Madiyaon police reached the spot after receiving the information.
Police sent her body for the post-mortem after investigation. Madiyaon police said that the reason of suicide has not been ascertained. She was a student of 9th standard in an inter college situated in the village. The police are waiting for the post-mortem report to ascertain the exact cause of death.
