Lucknow police would soon come up with data bank of chain snatchers and robbers involved in not only heinous crime but also targeting women. Besides, SSP Lucknow Manzil Saini has also given directives to all the police stations in the city to identify specific points where maximum cases of chain-snatching have been reported.
After the identification of these spots, additional police force would be deployed in these areas, the SSP said and added that besides these areas would also have deployment of plaincloth police men and women.
Interestingly, known to have worked hard in Etawah towards curbing chain-snatching incidents, the SSP has also directed the police station in charges to ensure that she is connected to the victims of chain and purse-snatching through phone. This not only gives a feeling of safety and security among the women victims, it also helps in getting to know about the psychology of the criminals, Saini said and added that police stations have also been directed to prepare the list of chain-snatchers and verify their present status. Such verification drive have also helped the Lucknow police nabbing some hardcore robbers, Saini said.
