The murderers themselves reveal their identity and reason of crime after killing a couple for not paying
Alambagh police finally recovered a DJ employee, who staged his own kidnapping story to extort money in a bid to spent time with his fiancee, from Charbagh on Sunday night. The police now have booked him in a case of fraud and extortion bid. The man was identified as Surendra, a resident of Alambagh area.
Station in charge Parshuram Tripathi told media persons that Surendra, who was working with a DJ group, had gone missing on May 1 from his home. Next day, his sister got an sms about her brother being kidnapped. Her sister instead of going to Alambagh police station went straight to ADG (L&O), who asked Alambagh police to register a case and investigate into the matter. Surendra’s sister also received a ransom message with a demand of Rs 30,000.
Since the messages were coming from Surendra’s mobile, the police got suspicious and put Surendra’s number on surveillance. After tracing the mobile location, the police came to know that the mobile phone was near Charbagh railway station. On Sunday night, the police swung into action and recovered Surendra along with the mobile. On grilling, he confessed before the cops that he had staged his own kidnapping as he wanted Rs 30,000 to spent time with his fiancee.
