Dog Diesel missing for 8 months was found inside airport in UK, Airport staff called police when they discovered Diesel wandering around Terminal 1 of Manchester Airport in England. Two police community support officers chased after the pooch and managed to capture him. The dog was micro chipped and cops traced the owner.
The puppy went missing after he escaped from his owner’s garden in February. Airport police have said the incident stresses the importance of having dogs microchipped.
Sergeant Steven Jameson, from Greater Manchester Police’s Airport team, said,”We don’t know how he got there to be honest. It looks like he escaped from their garden eight months ago,”
“He is the friendliest, daftest, sweetest dog and we all loved having him here. Our job allows us to deal with a variety of situations but this is definitely a first and it’s a tale we will never forget,” Jameson added.
“We have no idea how Diesel got here, maybe he wanted a nice holiday away, but we currently have no leads as to what he’s been up to for the last eight months,” he said.
“I am so pleased we found his family. His owner was in complete shock when we called her and she couldn’t stop crying and it was lovely to see them reunited.”
