Exclusive: What happened to murder accused while he was showing land to customers?

Miscreants shot at a murder accused while he was showing some piece of land to probable customers in Indiranagar police station area on Monday. The victim was identified Nityanand Srivastava, a resident of Patelnagar. The bullet hit Nityanand on his shoulder and leg. He is stated to be out of danger.
Nityanand is accused of a murder in Gosainganj police station area and has come out of jail on May 23. According Srivastava, some persons want him not to testify in a case. But since, he has refused to budge before their demands, they attacked him.
According to station officer Indiranagar Novendra Singh Sirohi, 30-year-old Srivastava had been to jail in the murder of Raees Ghosi in Gosainganj area. On Monday, he had gone with some persons to show some piece of land near Punjab brickkiln. In the meantime, miscreants reached at the spot and shot at Nityanand, who fell on the ground bleeding profusely.
Persons accompanying him informed the police control room and rushed Srivastava to Trauma Centre. The police also rushed to trauma centre where Nityanand told the police that one Sheikh Isafil and his aide have shot at him. They have been insisting that he doesn’t testify in a criminal case. Since he has denied to accept their demand, they shot at him. The police have loged an FIR and have begun search to nab the miscreants.
