Bajrang Dal’s self-defence training camp and its videos which are now viral have led to some protests against it for promoting enmity among different communities. So, an FIR has been lodged against dal’s activists in Faizabad on Tuesday.
SP Faizabad district, Sankalp Sharma told media persons that the organisation has been charged with promoting animosity among different classes of people and communities under Indian Penal Code Sections 153A in Faizabad. He said the matter is being investigated.
Bajrang Dal activists claim that these types of self-defence and weapon training are necessary to protect the Hindu community from the alleged threats that they face. Trainees use rifles, swords and sticks in training.
However, the governor of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Ram Naik stands in favour of Bajrang dal’s organisers. He said that there is nothing wrong in self-defence training.
But opposition parties attacked the BJP and its associated organisation accusing them of raising communal tensions in the state.
