London: A girl living in Britain will be reborn after death. The 14 year old cancer
A 22-year-old girl was shot dead allegedly by a jilted lover, residing at her neighbourhood near St Mary’s School at Sector 3, Jankipuram on Saturday afternoon.
The jilted lover had called the girl at his home. However, no one knows what transpired between the two. The youth, who was identified as Sumit then fled the spot leaving behind the injured 22-year-old girl who was identified as Puja and his mother Urmila in the house. The police reached the spot and rushed the girl to Trauma Centre where she succumbed to her bullet injuries.
According to station officer Jankipuram, Gopal Yadav, Shakeel is a tempo driver who lives near St Mary’s School. Sumit, who is garment trader also lives nearby. According to the reports, Sumit called Shakeel’s elder daughter at his house and after sometime, he allegedly opened fire on her. The bullet hit Puja’s head and she fell on the ground bleeding profusely.
After sometime, Puja’s younger sister Tamanna came searching for her and was shocked to see Puja lying in a pool of blood. She immediately shouted for help resulting in neighbours rushing to Sumit’s house. In the meantime, Sumit fled the spot. Injured Puja was rushed to Trauma Centre where she succumbed to her injuries.
Senior police officials rushed to Trauma Centre while Jankipuram police detained Sumit’s mother Urmila. According to Urmila, she had umpteen number of times told Sumit to stay away from Puja but he never listened to her.
The police also came to know that Sumit was in one-sided love with her. Sumit was furious after knowing that Puja’s family had fixed her marriage. This was the trigger that led to Sumit firing upon Puja.
Jankipuram station officer said that efforts are on to nab Sumit. Only after his arrest, the actual reason behind Puja’s murder would be ascertained.
