Is Mulayam playing Chanakya in Akhilesh-Shivpal rift drama?

The drama going on within Samajwadi Party for the last few days presented a totally different picture of relationships between main people of the party and a new face of these big personalities, which never appeared in the last 4.5 years of Akhilesh government regime. Just before few days left in assembly elections, a violent blow to Shivpal by Akhilesh is noteworthy on one hand and on the other hand Amar Singh being given the villainous limelight also arises doubts. The ‘dominant personality’ impression of Akhilesh Yadav has made its mark while ‘the poor man’ image has been won by Shivpal Yadav. Is Mulayam Singh Yadav an ace politician as he is, trying to hit 2 birds with one stone? Whereas Akhilesh after presenting such a strong picture, comes as a perfect choice for CM candidate, Shivpal now moves on somewhere else?

Has Mulayam become so feeble in a couple of days that he is not being able to suppress the clashes behind closed doors or is Shivpal claiming it right, that Netaji’s consent was not taken before taking away important portfolios from him? Both points seem to have no substance, as Mulayam Singh Yadav still holds the power strings strongly.
So does his calm silence say that it is an intentional split-show off by the SP, for further bigger moves? While Ramgopal Yadav, along with Mulayam Singh are getting prepared to support Akhilesh in State politics, is Shivpal heading to the centre stage with the support of none other than Amar Singh.
As known to all, Amar Singh’s strong hold on national politicians and politics, will Shivpal move to national politics with Amar Singh’s hands in hand? The big question might be answered affirmatively if on September 25 we get to see Shivpal in Haryana.
The Indian National Lok Dal has decided to hold the birth anniversary celebrations of former Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhary Devi Lal on September 25 in Karnal,Haryana. Haryana’s main opposition party, INLD, will organize the rally to mark the 103rd birth anniversary of former deputy PM and ‘tau’ of Indian politics, Devi Lal.
The consent to attend the event may be seen as a reunion of the erstwhile Janata Parivar or Third Front, Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar, Samajwadi Party leader Shivpal Yadav, and former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Farooq Abdullah will be attending the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) rally at Karnal on September 25. The reuniting of these parties might also be seen as uniting against BJP and preparing for 2019 parliamentary elections. With Mulayam going on soft with Modi, it might not find be appropriate for him to join the call from Haryana but SP earns no negative points if Shivpal, who seems to be going on in angry mode with Akhilesh, joins the dais. If Mulayam’s earlier political moves are scrutinised and if the Akhilesh-Shivpal rift was nothing more than a drama, Shivpal is all set to appear in national politics and would be seen focussing on 2019 parliamentary elections soon. But for now, only the time and the silent politician playing Chanakya, with a smirk can answer these questions!
