Banditry and gang rape with a minor took place on Monday late night at Salempur, Pataura village of Para when robbers attacked a carpenter’s house with arms and sticks.
SP East Shivram Yadav told the media persons that the carpenter lives in a single-room house with his wife, 11 year old daughter and 2 younger sons. Post dinner they all were sleeping in the room when at around 1 a.m the accused attacked the house. They broke in with the help of a shovel and snatched away Rs. 3000/-, anklet, earrings and other objects. They physically assaulted the house owner and his wife when they tried to stop the robbers. As the neighbours gathered near the house on hearing the noise, the accused fired in air and spread terror amongst the localites. Though on seeing the crowd they fled away from the house but kidnapped the carpenter’s 11 year old daughter to a nearby remote place. The miscreants raped the minor and did unnatural sex with her forcefully. After a while the villagers and girl’s family realised that she was also missing with the accused and then they started searching for her. Para police also reached the spot. The girl was found by the villagers in a shabby condition coming from the fields, she was crying and bleeding badly. She told that 5 miscreants had raped her and forced her for unnatural sex. The police however got the carpenter, his wife and daughter admitted to Rani Lakshmi Bai Hospital.
