Monkeys force her to jump into river but witnesses say…

A woman trying to save herself from monkeys jumped into Gomti River from Gomti bridge in Gomtinagar area but people present on the spot are calling it a suicide attempt. Ashruddin,an Assamese lives in Bhikampur area of Mahanagar with his family. As per the information, Ashruddin’s wife Andura Begum,40 was returning home from her work on Thursday night with her 10 year old son. On Gomti bridge the simians chased Andura. She ran opening the gate of the bridge in frenzy and jumped off the river falling down. The boy seeing his mother drowning called for help and tried to reach to her through the bridge staircase. On hearing the noise, the HCP on traffic duty Pramod Kumar and constable Virendra Kumar from Fun Mall outpost reached there. The policemen saved the woman with the help of a rope. Later Virendra Kumar got her admitted to Ram Manohar Lohiya Hospital.  However, witnesses to the scene are calling it a suicide attempt by Andura.
