Amidst continuing suspense over the new UP BJP team under state BJP chief Keshav Maurya’s leadership, the state working committee proposed on July 16-17 is likely to be shifted from Moradabad.
Adding to it, the date of the working committee meet is also likely to be changed, sources within the BJP told TosNews. Interestingly, this would be third time when the state working committee schedule would be changed.
While the first time the date of the working committee meeting was changed from July 9-10 to July 16-17 as marriages are fixed for the earlier July dates, this time round, with election for mayor’s seat to be held during the days when working committee meet was to be held, both the place and the date would have to be changed.
However, no BJP leader was willing to come on record to either confirm or deny the shift of state working committee from Moradabad to somewhere else and change in the date along with it.
Reason being cited by the BJP leaders according to sources is the holding of mayoral election at Moradabad. Since there has been change in date at least twice before, the UP BJP leadership is expected to announce the new venue and date most likely during the declaration of state office bearers which is also at least two-three months late.
