Former Indian cricket team skipper, Sourav Ganguli hit back Ravi Shastri and said that he is living in a fool’s world if he held him responsible for not getting the coveted India’s coach job. Few days ago former BCCI director blamed Ganguli that he was not present at the coach selection meeting when he was interviewed by the advisory committee.
News18 reported that Ganguly, along with his former team-mates Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman were part of the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) which selected legendary leg spinner Anil Kumble as the coach, overlooking the claims of Shastri among others. After the selection a disappointed Shastri told the news channel that he felt disrespected by Ganguly’s absence at his interview and advised him not to to repeat such things in the future.
The raging feud between two former Indian captains today turned uglier which may be harful for the Indian cricket. Someone has to come forward to resolve the disputes between the two.
