A frustrated PGI doctor couple poured sizzling hot tea on a 12-year-old domestic help as the tea was exceptionally strong in Aliganj police station area. When the girl’s mother tried to take her daughter, she was chased away. It was only after intervention from “Mahila Samman Prakoshth” that the girl with the help of the police was rescued from the doctor couple’s house and was sent to Child Line. The 12-year-old government was residing at the house of Jayshanker Chaudhary at Sector E, Aliganj. She is native of Itaunja in Lucknow.
The girl told the police that on Thursday, she made tea for Chaudhary’s wife Iti. However, since the tea leave was more than the required, Iti went to the kitchen tried to force team on the girl. However, when the girl denied taking tea, Iti poured hot tea on the girl’s shoulder.
On receiving the information, the girl’s mother rushed to Dr Chaudhary’s house on Friday morning. However, she was denied entry. After repeated request, she was allowed only to put ointment on the girl’s shoulder. However, the girl’s mother was sent back by Chaudharys. Thereafter, girl’s mother contacted Mahila Samman Cell’s Dr Satya Singh through a known youth. On Dr Satya Singh’s initiative, Child Line and Aliganj police reached Dr Chaudhary’s house and rescued the girl. The girl was then taken to Child Line.
Earlier, when Aliganj police reached at Dr Chaudhary’s house, the girl was so scared that she kept on saying that the tea cup fell on her because of her fault.
When the girl was taken to the police station, she revealed that Iti committed several atrocities on her. The girl was later produced before Child Welfare Committee (CWC) where its chairperson Dr Anshumali Sharma directed the cops to add Juvenile Justice Act.
The mother of the girl later told the police that since she didn’t have enough money, two years back she put her daughter on job at Dr Chaudhary’s house on Rs 1500 per month payment basis.
