Read: How mosquito becomes a threat to cops?

Cops have a new dress code. From now on, all the cops will have to wear full sleeve shirts instead of half-sleeves khaki. But this is not to do with any change in dress code but a precautionary measure that has been ordered by UP DGP Javeed Ahmed to ward off the dangers of dengue mosquito bite.
The DGP has further ordered for fogging at police stations and police outpost to prevent dengue from spreading. The cops have also been asked to use mosquito repellent and net while sleeping. Until now, the cops have been wearing half-sleeve shirts during summers and  full sleeve shirts in winter. However, with dengue becoming a threat and even leading to death of a sub-inspector Krishna Mohan Shukla and head constable Anil Kumar, the precautionary measures have become mandatory.
A few days back, SSP Manzil Saini had ordered that dengue affected cops can go to leave without taking prior permission.
