Sales tax staff comes to meet facebook friend, booked for hitting him with blade in hotel room

Friendship on social media platform Facebook cost a sales tax employee from Pilibhit cost dear as he was detained by the police allegedly for attacking his Facebook friend with blade at a hotel room in Naka police station area.

The sales tax employee residing in Pilibhit befriended a youth of Bazarkhala on Facebook. After remaining in touch through Facebook, they both decided to meet each other. The sales tax employee landed in Lucknow and took a room on rent at Punjab Hotel in Charbagh.

Thereafter, he informed his Facebook friend, who also joined him. After sometime, the sales tax officer told his Facebook friend that he was leaving for Pilibhit. However, the youth stopped him from going back.

Thereafter what happened in the room no one knows, but the sales tax employee informed the hotel staff that the youth has locked himself inside the room and he can take any extreme step.

The hotel staff immediately rushed to the room and opened the door with the duplicate key. When the hotel staff entered the room, they found blood stains on neck and hand of the youth and marks of blade on it.

The hotel staff immediately informed the police which reached the hotel and rushed the youth to trauma centre also informed the youth’s family members. The family members have lodged an attempt to murder case against the sales tax employee. Naka police have taken the employee in its custody, SP (west) Sarvesh Misra said.

The employee however, maintained that the youth inflicted injuries on his own on the body. The room was also locked from inside and it was opened only by the hotel staff. As of now, the matter was being investigated, the police said.
