Valiant bid by woman to save chain goes in vain but forces miscreants to flee on foot

Though she couldn’t save her chain, but her valiant attempt to resist the snatching forced them chain-snatchers to leave their vehicle and flee on foot in Bazarkhala area on Friday morning. The chain-snatchers had to push the woman hard to save themselves from being caught. However, in the melee, the woman received injuries on head and was admitted to hospital.
Accoring to Bazarkhala police station in charge Anil Singh, Parnlata Srivastava, a resident of Motijheel Colony had gone to purchase vegetables. While she was on her way, one of the bike-borne miscreants snatched her chain and tried to flee. Resisting the snatching attempt, she took the miscreants head on. Finding themselves in trouble, the two miscreants pushed Parnlata on ground leading to head injury to her.
Even then she shouted for help. Listening to her scream, passers-by rushed to her rescue. Suspecting danger, the miscreants fled the spot on foot leaving their motorcycle. On hearing the information about chain snatching, the Bazarkhala police also rushed to the spot and rushed Parnlata to hospital. The police have taken the motorcycle under their custody. And as expected on enquiry, the registration number of the motorcycle was found to be fake.
No FIR had been lodged till the filing of the news. Singh told media persons that once Parnlata recovers, the police would try to ascertain the identity of the miscreants.
