Widow alleges rape by KGMU MBBS student, FIR lodged

An MBBS fourth year student of KGMU was accused of raping a widow woman at a hotel in Naka Hindola. A case in this regard has been lodged at Mahila Thana in Lucknow. According to the widow, who is a resident of Sultanpur district, the accused, a resident of Jaunpur, was known to her.

She informed him that she has to come to Lucknow to appear in an exam. The accused (His identity is withheld by TosNews) told her to come to Lucknow and he would arrange a hotel for her stay here.
The woman came to Lucknow on April 4. The youth took her to a hotel in Naka Hindola and on the pretext of her security, insisted on staying with her in the room itself. Unaware of his intentions, the woman allowed him to stay in the room.
However, in the night, the MBBS student raped her and didn’t allow her to even appear in the exams.
The woman lodged an FIR at Mahila Thana. Station Office Mahila Than Uma Yadav confirmed that a complaint had been lodged said that the woman medical examination had been done. She also said that Forensic Laboratory’s help was being taken in the matter.
The accused, according to Yadav, was absconding and his mobile phone was also switched off. The police is now trying to get a non-bailable warrant against the accused in the matter.
The police said that the matter was being further investigated.
