Witness to crime might have been target himself!

Miscreants stormed into a house locked for long time in the posh area of Vishwas Khand, Gomti Nagar. It was just then that neighbour Pankaj Malhotra, the owner of Malhotra pan shop reached home. He stood watching the house after catching sight of a car standing in front of the house.
Four to five miscreants came out of the house after a while and left from there on car. The pan shop owner chased them until the miscreants stopped him near Fun mall and hit on his head with hockey sticks and rod. The accused fled away, leaving him partially conscious on road side.
House no. 280 of Vishwas Khand belongs to PK Malik, native of West Bengal. It is stated that after PK Malik’s death some months back his house remained locked. Pankaj Malhotra reached his house at around 1am after which the incident happened. He was admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital by his family members from where he was referred to Trauma Centre. CO Gomti Nagar Satyasen Yadav informed that everything was on place at PK Malik’s residence and no lock was found broken, the miscreants were not able to barge inside the house. The police is trying to figure out the facts with the help of CCTV footage. However, the police is also suspecting conflict between Pankaj and the miscreants.
