Women of 3 generations of the same family became a part of a legal case when an elderly woman Noorjahan, got burnt amidst suspicious conditions in Saadatganj area of Lucknow on Thursday late night. Saadatganj Police Station Incharge Shashikant Yadav, informed the media persons that Noorjahan aged 65 years, lives with her family in Mozamnagar locality. Noorjahan’s daughter, Shabnam also shares a portion of the same house. There was a dispute between Noorjahan and Shabnam for the house. At present Noorjahan is living with Shabnam’s daughter Bushra. On Thursday night she woke up to the screams of her grandmother only to find her crying for help with her room on fire. Bushra also cried for assistance. Hearing the noise nearby people ran for help and extinguished the fire. Noorjahan got burn injuries due to fire. Immediately she was admitted to civil hospital. Bushra lodged a complaint that Shabnam, Soni and Chandani were responsible for the fire. Bushra claimed that the whole house belongs to her grandmother and she also informed about the dispute going on between Noorjahan and Shabnam for evacuation of Shabnam’s portion of house.
On Bushra’s statement police has registered a case against above mentioned 3 persons. Police recovered a tin of kerosene oil from the accident spot. Saadatganj police finds this incident suspicious.
