World’s cheapest smartphone worth Rs 99 launched in India

Namotel company’s promoter Madav Reddy launched the world’s cheapest smartphone “Namotel Acche Din” for Rs 99 beating the existing cheapest smartphone “Freedom 251”. The smartphone will be available for booking from May 17th to 25th May, 2016. Namotel is a Bengaluru based company.

Its Specifications are:-

4 inch display with WVGA resolution and it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It is powered by 1.3GHz quadcore processor along with 1 GB RAM. There’s 4GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. There’s a 2MP camera at the back and a VGA selfie camera. Connectivity options include 3G and dual-SIM. It has a 1325 mAh battery.

The company’s website,, depicts that the price has been reduced from Rs 2,999 to Rs 99. The smartphone is available on cash-on-delivery basis but nominal delivery charges will be levied.
